Do the Docks Tours

Infrared conference equipmentIn 2008 the 'Do The Docks' tour will operate every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 28th April to 2nd September inclusive. It will also operate on Thursday 26th April, the day we understand Navigator of the Seas is due to arrive in port.

The departure point for the tours will be Mayflower Park. For security reasons, passengers are required to remain on board the bus throughout the tour, most of which takes place in operational areas of the port. The tour will typically last just under 1 hour. The tour takes a route in excess of 10 miles through the port, entering the Western Docks to see City Cruise Terminal and Mayflower Cruise Terminal as well as one of the UK's largest container terminals; and also Eastern Docks including the Titanic berth, the giant vehicle carriers that transport cars and trucks around the world and also the QEII Terminal, home of the Cunard liners Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2.

The tour will cost £6 for adults, £3 for concessions (aged 5-15 or 60+) and £17 for groups of up to 5 people. Tickets will be available from the tour driver.

Further information will be available at www.dockstour.info or from the Solent Blue Line information line on 023 8061 8233 (open 0830 - 1700 Mon-Sat)

On weekdays, the buses will be available for charter by private parties or schools wishing to enjoy their own tour, either following the standard tour route or their own customised itinerary. Enquiries should be directed to talk2us@dockstour.info or Solent Blue Line's Special Operations Centre on
023 8061 8008.
